We had an amazing day out on the water yesterday during Cherie’s crossing attempt!  Our film crew boat met Cherie’s support vessel on a dark, cloudy morning around 5:30 am at Arch Rock, Anacapa Island.  Cherie plunged into pitch black water shortly after 5:30 am.  Swimming conditions were ideal with glassy, high-sixty degree water though her swim was not without a few surprises including thousands of jelly fish, a mid-channel school of bat rays and mola molas, and a strong nearshore cross-current.  Visibility was perfect for filming and we captured some awesome footage while documenting her attempt.  Did she make it?  You’ll have to wait and see!……   ;)
